After a false alarm in the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg (known from the media in September 2024), massive water damage occurred, flooding the entire lower machinery of the lifting podiums.
Deployment Details:
- Safety Measures: Due to stage technology safety regulations, all brake systems of the podiums had to be replaced after the flooding.
- Fluid Replacement: All lubricating and hydraulic oils contaminated by the extinguishing water were replaced.
- Engineering Performance: Despite the complete flooding, the excellent robustness of the system was evident. The entire mechanics and electrics remained undamaged. The podiums rose from the extinguishing water after cleaning as if nothing had happened – a big compliment to the designers and builders of this facility.
