In August 2024, an intensive maintenance and analysis cycle was carried out at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK). This deployment combined deep system analysis with classic mechanical maintenance.
Analysis & Optimization:
- Thermal Management: Analysis of overtemperature indicators on the console, reconfiguration of fan control and optimization of air circulation to avoid future thermal problems.
- Microphone Technology: Analysis of the design-related spiral cable problem. Development and successful implementation of a cost-effective modification to permanently avoid cable breaks. Documentation of “Microphone Winch 1.5” as a new standard.
- Procedure Documentation: Creation of detailed documentation for future maintenance cycles.
Mechanical Maintenance & Testing:
- Load Lifting Gear: Functional test and maintenance of chain hoists, Köster winches and band hoists.
- Steel Construction: Testing of girder fastenings by means of torque control and subsequent marking.
- Stage Elements: Inspection and maintenance of podiums, mobile grandstand parts as well as flap mechanisms.
- Media Technology: Maintenance and repair of the media screen, including replacement of damaged components.
