In 2018, a classic Husqvarna 610 (built in 1999/2000) was acquired and technically completely overhauled. The vehicle has no electric starter and was not running at the time of purchase.
Technical Repair:
- Carburetor Service: Complete cleaning and revision of the dirty carburetor to restore mixture preparation.
- Ignition Timing: Precise adjustment of the ignition timing via the flywheel using a stroboscopic light. This is crucial for starting behavior (kickstarter) and performance delivery in old competition engines.
- Engine Sealing: Replacement of the cylinder base and cylinder head gaskets to fix leaks and ensure compression.
- Detail Work: Repair and refurbishment of various small parts and technical defects on the entire vehicle.
The project underscores the understanding of classic, purist engine technology, where precise adjustment of mechanical and electronic components is essential.
